Psychological assessments are conducted by trained professionals in order to determine strengths and weaknesses which will aid in developing effective educational and behavioral interventions. Psychological assessments involve the use of formal and informal psychological tests and procedures. All procedures are scientific and research-based. A comprehensive assessment typically includes measures of intelligence, academic achievement, psychological processing, and social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. The information gathered from these assessments is integrated and presented in a psychological report.
