A variety of assessment instruments in combination with observations and parent and teacher interviews are used to determine problem areas,
establish goals, and develop treatment plans. Interventions include all of the behavioral and educational treatment modalities
that may be used to resolve a particular difficulty. Interventions may be direct or indirect. Since no single intervention can work effectively for all children,
a broad range of interventions designed to address the physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being of the client may be implemented. Generally,
interventions address inappropriate behaviors while teaching appropriate replacement behaviors across settings.
